Kodomo no hi こどもの日

Children's Day
Hooray it's Children's Day & the Boy's Festival, Tango no Sekku, is celebrated today. Families pray for the health and future success of their sons by hanging up carp streamers and displaying samurai dolls, both symbolizing strength, power and success in life. The Girl's Festival is celebrated on the 3rd of March.

I took this photo in the residential area near my apartment where I go walking in the morning.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAT

Tash,

I used to teach the kids about children's day at school when we did Celebrations. Very exciting to see you write about it. I actually think it was one of the things the 'Dolls of the World' collection came in handy for xx
